Anthony J. Maglio, of Somerville, a Korean War veteran and member of Post #19, died Saturday at Emerson Nursing Center, Watertown. He was 76.
Mr. Maglio was born and raised in East Boston, the son of the late Michael and the late Rose (Valone) Maglio. After his service in the Army during the Korean War, Anthony was married and settled in Somerville. He worked all of his life as a member of local 25 at the produce market in Chelsea. He was a member of the American Legion Post 19 on Highland Ave.
The husband of the late Claire (Ferro) Maglio, he was the father of Anthony “TJ” Maglio, Jr. and Rosemarie Lister and her husband Jack, all of Somerville. He was a loving grandfather to Dianna Barry and Renae Lister of Somerville and Renee Parilla of Medford. He was the loving great-grandfather of Jaclyn Barry.
Family and friends may call Tuesday from 4 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A service will be conducted in the funeral home, Tuesday at 7:30pm, with the Very Rev’d David Meskell presiding.
