Stephen A. Skopelites, 57, of Londonderry, NH died Friday March 23, 2007 in the NorthEast Rehabilitation Hospital, Salem, NH. Stephen was born in Watertown, MA on April 29, 1949, a son of the late Nicholas and Irene (Karas) Skopelites. Stephen had resided in Londonderry for the past 17 years, formerly living in Derry, NH and in Massachusetts. He was a 1971 graduate of Boston College and was currently employed by Amphenol in Nashua, NH for the past 10 years. He enjoyed woodworking, camping and he loved to make people laugh with his biting sarcasm. He loved his family and friends and enjoying time spent with them and his pets.
He is survived by his three daughters, Allyson Skopelites of Londonderry, Michelle (Dillon) Clifton of Billerica, MA, Jennifer Dillon of Londonderry, his former wife, Mary Morgan of Londonderry, his aunt, Josephine Karas of Billerica, and also by several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased his wife, Lena Skopelites, his brother, George Skopelites, and his uncle, Diogenes Karas.
Visiting hours were held on Monday, March 26th from 4 to 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Funeral services were Tuesday at 10:00am in the funeral home. A committal service was held in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, MA at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation, 8301 Professional Place, East Landover, MD 20785.
