Nicolina Rogowski, 79, of Windham, NH, died Friday, March 23, 2007 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. Mrs. Rogowski was born in Bedford, MA on June 12, 1927, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Berlinghieri) Basile. She was a resident of the Windham, Derry, Salem, NH and Methuen, MA area for over 30 years. Mrs. Rogowski had attended Bedford, MA schools and graduated from Lexington High School, class of 1945. She went on to attend secretarial school in Boston and worked as a secretary. She worked for Raytheon in the Andover, MA facility for over 20 years. Following her retirement she took up the hobby of painting, specializing in watercolors. She was a member of many of the area art associations. Mrs. Rogowski attended St. Monica’s in Methuen and St. Matthews in Windham.
She is survived by a daughter, Helen Cole of Hillsboro, NH, three grandchildren, Bryan, Jeff and Eric Cole, a great-granddaughter, Alyson Cole, a sister, Martha C. Maloney of Bedford, MA, a brother, Sal G. Basile and his wife Anita of Windham and also by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Stephen Basile.
Visiting hours were held from 3-7pm Tuesday, March 27, 2007 in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00am on Wednesday, in St. Michael's Church, 90 Concord Road, Bedford, MA. The burial was in the Shawsheen Cemetery, Bedford, MA.
