Frederick P. Clerici 88 of Walpole died March 22 in Caritas Norwood Hospital.
Born in Walpole on May 11, 1918, the son of the late Frank and Angelina (Saturna) Clerici, Mr.Clerici was a lifelong Walpole resident.
Mr. Clerici had worked on the line at Kendall Mills in Walpole for many years before retiring.
Mr. Clerici served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the DAV, the American Legion, the VFW, the Walpole Italian American Club and he enjoyed music and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline (Paolucci) Clerici, his son Mark Clerici of Bellingham and daughter Janet Proctor of Wrentham.
He is also survived by his brother James Clerici of Arizona and sisters Amelia Amaral, Josephine Bergman and Philomena Benedetti, all of Wrentham.
He was the brother of the late Camilio Clerici and Rosina Clerici.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Gillian and Amy and great-grandson Lucas.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday March 28 from the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main St. in Walpole at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
