Blanche Olive (Pond) Pretty 84 of Medway died March 23 in her home following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Lewis Pretty who died in 1980.
Born in Medway, November 13, 1922, the daughter of the late Harry and Eva (Arnold) Pond. Mrs. Pretty was a lifelong Medway resident.
Mrs. Pretty had been an attendant at Cushing Hospital in Framingham for 32 years before retiring.
She loved bingo, playing card, and gambling. She also loved to take trips to Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods Lincoln Park and Atlantic City. She especially enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son George Pretty of Medway and her daughter Jean Forgione and her husband Philip of Medway.
She is also survived by her grandchildren John Forgione, Philip Forgione, Traci Forgione, Lewis Pretty, and Christina Gambell, her great-grandchildren Ryan Gambell, Rachel Forgione, Lindsey Forgione and Samantha Pretty.
She was the sister of the late Lester, Everett and Harry Pond, Edna Yarush, Eva Ghelli, Irene Salvetti and Mildred Martello.
Her service will be private with burial in Evergreen Cemetery Medway.
