Obituary

Anna G. (Picard) Brunelli 78 of Franklin died Wednesday March 21, 2007 at Sturdy Hospital in Attleboro, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late John J. Brunelli, who died in 1998.
Born in Franklin, August 4, 1928 a daughter of the late Wilfred J. and Frances R. (Kirby) Picard, she lived in Franklin for most of her life. She was raised and educated in Franklin, and formerly worked at the Whiting & Davis Co. in Plainville as a piece worker before becoming an administrative secretary at Dean Jr. College in Franklin where she worked for many years until her retirement in 1984.
Following her retirement, she and her husband moved to Holiday, Florida where they lived until returning to Franklin in 1998.
She was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, the American Association of Retired Persons and St. Mary’s Church. During WW11 she served on the civil air patrol in Franklin as a look out for enemy aircraft. Her hobbies and interests were her grandchildren, knitting and traveling.
She is survived by 3 sons John J. “Jack” Brunelli Jr. and his wife Margaret of California, William P. “Bill” Brunelli and his wife Susan of North Attleboro and Richard P. “Rich” Brunelli and his wife Laureen of Maryland, a brother George Picard of Medway and 8 grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Edward K. Picard, Mary F. Jackson RN, and Ruth Ober.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday March 29, 2007 at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.franklinfuneral.com) with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours are Wednesday March 28, 2007 from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
