Alfred L. Couture 78 of 547 Clinton St. died Wednesday at home. He was the husband of the late Marie (Parenteau) Couture. Mr. Couture was born in North Troy Vt. a son of the late Rene and Laurenza (Martel) Couture. Was a heavy equipment operator for the Ferland Corp. And Bella Construction for most of his life. He also did maintenance work for Paramount Press for five years before retiring thirteen years ago. He was an avid fisherman and loved listening to French music.
Mr. Couture is survived by a brother Edeas Couture of Troy VT., four sisters Cecile Maynard of N. Kingstown, Yvonne Robillard of Derby Vt., Jeanne St. George of St. Johnsbury, VT., and Helen Robillard of Irasburg, VT., and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Elise Goff.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in All Saints Church, Rathburn St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Precious Blood Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-7 pm.
