Rosa J. (Ramos) Cosme, 77, of New Bedford died November 1, 2002 at St. Luke's Hospital unexpectedly.
She was the wife the late Henrique Cosme and daughter of the late Manuel and Josepha (DaCruz) Ramos.
Mrs. Cosme was born in Acushnet and lived in New Bedford and Wareham all of her life.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Mrs. Cosme was a former member of the United Social Club and the Gold Star Mother's Club. She attended Friendly Harbor Senior Day Care.
Survivors include 2 sons, Mark A. Almeida of New Bedford and Luke M. Almeida, and his wife Linda, of Wareham; a daughter, Sheila A. Giscombe, and her husband Jerome Hawkins, of Alexandria, VA; 2 sisters, Mary Semedo and Antonia Delgado, both of Fairhaven; 6 grandchildren, Anthony L. Giscombe of New Bedford, Ronald G. Giscombe, Jr. of Germany, Luke R. Almeida of North Dartmouth, André Joseph Almeida and Jillian M. Almeida, both of Wareham and Joseph C. Almeida of New Bedford; 4 great-grandchildren, Ronald, III, Kyla, Avery and Shakar; several nieces and nephews.
Rosa was the mother of the late Edward Joseph Almeida and sister of the late Antone Ramos and Joseph Ramos.
