MARION -- Ruth T. (Bailey) Hunt, 90, of Marion, formerly of Padanaram, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, one week after her 90th birthday, at Sippican Health Care Center in Marion. She was the widow of the late Albert Hunt.
She was born in Astoria, New York, the daughter of the late Eunice and Charles W. Bailey. She lived most of her life in Padanaram.
Mrs. Hunt had worked for Dr. Walter Platt. She was a member of the Congregational Church of South Dartmouth. She enjoyed sewing and knitting.
She is survived by her son, John R. Hunt and his wife, Ann I. Hunt, of Fairhaven; four sisters, Charlotte S. Sanford of Aurora, CO, Phyllis Hopfer of Swansboro, NC, Eunice M. Atwood of Hubert, NC, Marjorie S. Atwood of Spokane, WA; and two brothers, Donald Bailey of Heredia, Costa Rica, and Robert W. Bailey of Miami, FL. She was also the sister of the late Winthrop Bailey and Wilma E. Mailhot and Malcolm Bailey.
Her private arrangements are under the direction of the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St. New Bedford, Ma.
