Obituary

TYNGSBORO - Frances (Stowell) Greeley, 86, a longtime resident of Tyngsboro, died Sunday March 18th at D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell. Prior to living in Tyngsboro she had lived in Billerica for several years. For 64 years, she was the wife of the late Eugene Greeley, who died in December 2000.

She was born in Connecticut, the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Stowell. She was educated in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York schools.

During her working years, she was employed as a sales clerk at Gagnon's & McQuade's Department Stores and later at Courier Citizen, as a proof reader.

She was a communicant of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Tyngsboro.

She is survived by her brothers, Donald Stowell of Gardner, Edwin Stowell of Holden, sisters Arlene Dunham of South Royalston and Geraldine Davis of Baldwinville, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was also the sister of the late Irene Clark, who passed away last month.

At her request , services will be private.
