Obituary

George D. Charpentier, 94, of Warren, formerly of Rockridge Dr., Woonsocket, died Monday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Germaine (Pelissier) Charpentier.
Born in Canada, he was a son of the late Rosenbert and Delima (Charpentier) Charpentier. He was a resident of Woonsocket for most of his life.
Mr. Charpentier worked for the Hanora Lippit Mill and the Branch River Wool Co. for many years before retiring in 1975.
Mr. Charpentier resided in Warren at the Willows Assisted Living Community for the past three years. He enjoyed participating in many activities there, especially playing Santa for area children.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Armand Charpentier, Rose Plante, Merilda Michaud, Helen Berube, and Marie-Ange Belisle.
His funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Friday from 9-9:30 am prior to Mass. Memorial donations may be made to the Willows Activities Fund, P.O.
