Roy A. Landon, age 80, Of Woburn formerly of Arlington, died March 17th following a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Joanne (Bourke) of Woburn and the late Lily (Tamoush).
Born and raised in Michigan he was the son of the late Fred and Emma (Dumont) Landon.
Mr. Landon was a retired quality control inspector with Pollaroid where he worked for over twenty years. Mostly devoted to his family he also enjoyed going to bingo and spending time outdoors especially hunting and fishing. Mr. Landon was also a proud United States Navy Veteran of WWII. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Salvation Army 147 Berkely St. Boston, MA 02116.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Rita LaRue of Tewksbury, Richard Landon of Shirley, Roy Landon of Waltham, Rhonda Mallard of Woburn, step children Kathleen Brown of Lowell, Colleen O´Toole of Woburn, Linda Teebagy of Burlington and Edward O´Toole of Westminster. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother Charles Landon of Michigan and is preceded in death by his brother the late Dale Landon.
His funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Thursday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
