Obituary

Mr. Harley Flint Hatfield of Plaistow, New Hampshire, formerly of Andover, beloved husband of the late Barbara B. (Pratt) Hatfield, died at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire, on Friday, March 16, 2007. He was 82 years old.
Born in Wakefield, Massachusetts, on January 16, 1925, Mr. Hatfield was a beloved son of the late Harley R. and Irene C. (Cassidy) Hatfield.
Mr. Hatfield was a WWII Army Veteran, entering the service at Boston on June 21, 1943 and receiving his honorable discharge from Fort Devens on January 18, 1946. During his military career, Mr. Hatfield attained the rank of Corporal and was a rifle marksman. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, American Theater Campaign Ribbon and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon for his dedicated service to our country.
He was a Sales Rep for Oakite, a company that sold industrial cleaners, for more than 30 years prior to his retirement. He was also a long time Mason.
Mr. Hatfield will be sorely missed by two loving daughters and their husbands; Candy B. and her husband Fred J. Borrello of Hudson, New Hampshire and Kim S. and her husband Paul J. Steinke of Lawrenceville, Georgia, two grand daughters; Nicole and Melanie Steinke, one sister; Virginia Eames of New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Kenneth, Philip and Paul Hatfield.
A graveside service was held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 85 Lake Street, Peabody, Friday, March 23, 2007, at 1:30 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Calling hours were in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home 390 North Main Street, Andover, Thursday, March 22, 2007, from 4 to 8 PM.
