Obituary

Beverly A. Samataro, 59, of Derry, NH, died Monday, March 19, 2007, peacefully at her home surrounded by family after a lengthy illness. Beverly was born in Methuen, MA on June 20, 1947, daughter of the late William and Bertha (Jones) Causer. She was a resident of Derry for the past seventeen years, formerly living in Lawrence, MA. She was employed as a lab technician for top-secret programs at Textron in Wilmington, MA, and was the former owner of the Calamity Cafe in Derry. Beverly loved playing Bingo, enjoyed cards, and especially loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed interior decorating and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Charles Samataro, Jr. of Derry; two daughters, Christina Germain and Shellee Gerhardt, both of Derry; one son, Richard Germain of Weare, NH; two stepsons, Charles Samataro, III of Burlington, CT and Stephen Samataro of Glenville, IL; and ten grandchildren.
Friends called on Thursday, March 22nd from 4 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, with funeral services followed at 7:00pm. Following cremation, the burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Burns Institute, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
