AUBURN-Helena C. “Eilleen” (Scanlon) Levitsky, 88, of Auburn died Sunday, March 18th in University Commons. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Frederick J. Levitsky; a son, Frederick C. Levitsky and his wife Marcia A. of East Lyme, CT; a daughter, Mary Jo wife of F. Myles Moran of Lincoln, NH; and 5 grandchildren, Melissa Davis, Jason and Brian Levitsky and Molly and Erin Moran. A brother, Thomas Scanlon and 3 sisters, Mary Kittle, Josephine Scanlon and Lucille Murphy predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Charles M. and Martha G. (Kneeland) Scanlon. Mrs. Levitsky was a graduate of South High School. She was employed by Melville Shoe Corporation as an accounting clerk until her retirement in 1983. Mrs. Levitsky was a member of North American Martyrs Church. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed traveling.
The funeral is Thursday, March 22nd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Wednesday, March 21st from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
