Obituary

James R. Driscoll, Sr., 82, of 2 Muzzy St., died Monday, March 19
at Overlook Masonic Home in Charlton.
He was the husband of Madeleine D. (Collette) Driscoll who died in 2002. He
leaves a son James R. Driscoll, Jr. and his wife Catherine of Spencer, two
daughters Kathleen A. Driscoll of Gloucester, and Maureen C. Sullivan and
her husband John of Cromwell, Ct., six grand children James R. Driscoll, III
of Quincy, Patrick J. Driscoll of Spencer, Daniel J. Robinson of Gloucester,
Caitlin, John, III and Michael Sullivan all of Cromwell, Ct., a sister
Madeline Shea of Spencer and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Driscoll was a chemist for more than 30 years at Norton Co. in Worcester
before retiring in 1984.
Born in Spencer, he was the son of James H. and Ann (McNamara) Driscoll.
He graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer and was a member of
Our lady of the Rosary Church.
He enjoyed his home and took great pride in the appearance of his yard and
garden.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, March 21 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of
the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen
of the Rosary Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday from 8:30
to 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mary,Queen of
the Rosary Building Fund, 60 Maple St., Spencer, 01562.
