Edmar G. Costa, age 83 of Medford MA, died Wednesday in the Woodbrier Nursing Care Center of Wilmington, after a brief illness. Born in New Bedford, MA, he was the son of the late Antone and Maria (Camara) Costa. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a owner a printing business for many years in Somerville. Mr. Costa was a member of the VFW George Dillboy Post of Somerville, DAV of Somerville, St. Polycarp’s Men’s Club, Somerville Elks, and Past President of the Holy Name Society. Edmar was a Medford resident for the past 7 years, and a former Somerville resident for over 50 years.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Monday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Polycarp Church, 100 Temple St. Somerville at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9. Services will conclude with burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
