Rita M. (Mercier) Berard 86 formerly of 48 Cherry Hill Ave. died Wednesday in Bayberry Commons. She was born in Slatersville a daughter of the late Charles Valmore and Desilda (Moison) Mercier. Mrs. Berard was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons Richard and Dennis Berard both of Woonsocket and Anthony ”Tony” Berard of Lincoln, a daughter Gail Berard of Woonsocket, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Leo Mercier.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in St. John’s Church, Church St. in Slatersville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday 5-8 pm.
