Deolinda “Lena” (Vieira) Reis. Age 94. Widow of Manuel Reis and Manuel Silveira. Residence Virginia Beach, VA., formerly of 215 George St., Fall River, MA. Died Sunday at Windemere Nursing Center, Virginia Beach, VA. Born in Fall River, MA. Daughter of the late Manuel Camara Vieira and the late Guilhermina (Carvalho) Vieira. She was a lifelong time resident of Fall River, having only lived in Virginia Beach, VA for the past 9 years. Before retiring, she was a Power Machine Operator in the local needle industry. She was a member of the Am Vets Auxiliary of Somerset,MA.
She was a member of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by One Daughter:Susanne Michelini of Virginia Beach, VA. Two Granddaughters and Four Great Grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Norbert and Joseph Vieira, Albertina Andrade, Belmira Amaral,Marie Medeiros, Olive Perry, and Guilhermina “Kitty” Rapoza, and Irene Goncalo.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St. Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St. at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday, March 14, 2007 from 5-8 PM.
