LEICESTER___Frances (Pulaski) Bazydlo, 106, of Leicester, formerly of Worcester died Wednesday March 14 in St. Vincent Hospital, 123 Summer Street, Worcester. Her husband, Jacob Bazydlo died in 1965. A son, Navy Seaman First Class Chester J. Bazydlo, was killed in action during World War II when the ship he was on , the USS Fetchler was torpedoed.
She leaves two daughters, Sophia Tomasino wife of the late Lawrence J. Tomasino of Leicester with whom she made her home and Dorothy Huff wife of Walter Huff of Rialto, California six grandchildren, Lawrence A. Tomasino and his wife Joan, David P. Tomasino and his wife Susan, Dr. Susan F. Tomasino and her husband, Richard Broberg, Mark Tomasino and his wife Valerie, William Huff and his wife Norma and Rosalie Moore and her husband Chad, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters. She was born in Poland, a daughter of Stanley and Rose (Lajzer) Pulaski and came to Clinton from Poland. She moved to Worcester in 1928 and resided there many years until moving to Leicester.
Mrs. Bazydlo worked as a spinner many years for Fine Fabrics Co. and worked there until she was 76. She was educated in Clinton schools. Rose was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Worcester and the Polish American Veterans of World War II Auxiliary. She was a Gold Star Mother and enjoyed family gatherings and traveling with her family.
The funeral will be held on Monday March 19 from HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday March 18 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester, MA 01610
