Father of Pamela Ring-Dorman of Olympia, WA, Karen Ring-Connelly of Dorchester, MA, Albert F. Ring, Jr. of Christmas, FL, Dennis P.Ring of Plymouth, MA, and the late MaryEllen Ring. Brother of John F.Ring of Cairns, Australia, and the late Richard T. Ring. He also leaves eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Services and burial will be private. Albert F. Ring of Plymouth, MA, formerly of Woburn, MA, passed away Tuesday, 3/13/07. Born in Woburn in 1924, Al was a graduate of Woburn High School, class of 1942. Following graduation, he entered the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific Theater in WWII, and later in the Korean conflict. He married Phyllis Irene Cardillo of Wakefield in 1948. He began working in the construction field as a carpenter in a family business. He later served as the building inspector for the city of Woburn and held several supervisory job assignments in major construction projects throughout the state. Al retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Community and Development. He was a proud member of the Woburn VFW and the Woburn American Legion. He enjoyed his home of 53 years in Woburn and he loved to garden, work around the house, and spend time with his family. He moved to Plymouth in 2004, and he died peacefully in his sleep at home.
