Obituary

Darrell W. “Skip” Burnett, 68 of Derry, NH died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry. Mr. Burnett was born in Spokane, WA on January 27, 1939, a son of the late Gordon and Patricia (Morehouse) Burnett. He served with the U.S. Navy and enjoyed being a world traveler. Skip was a resident of Derry since 1979. He worked for 35 years for Raytheon, retiring in 2000 from the Andover, MA facility. He loved his family and his dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Deb Burnett of Derry, three sons, Phil Burnett of Derry, Paul Burnett of London, England and Mark Burnett of Derry, a daughter, Heidi Gonzales of Huntington Beach, CA, two grandchildren, Ryann and Stefan Burnett, two sisters, Bobbie Girardin of Denver, CO and Sue Nix of Juneau, AK, a brother, Barry Burnett of Juneau, his step-mother, Helen Smith of Juneau, a step-brother, Thomas Lynch of Chelan, WA and a step-sister, Bonnie Jo Davison of Port Angeles, WA. He was predeceased by his grandson, Thomas Burnett.

Private family services will be held. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Bldg., 360 State Rt. 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110-5032 or to the American Heart Assoc., Northeast Affiliate, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101.
