Ruth O. Miller, 68, of Derry, NH died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at her residence following a long illness. She was born in Lawrence MA on December 27, 1938, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Ruth (Chulada) Wormwood. Raised in Lawrence, she lived for many years in Methuen, MA and has resided in Derry for the past ten years. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a production manager for Malden Mills and later at Wang Labs. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post # 8546 of Salem, NH. Mrs. Miller loved to crochet and donated many of her creations to various charities.
She is survived by her husband, Reid Miller of Derry; two daughters, Lisa O’Clare of Newburyport, MA and Laura Bartlett of Derry; a son, Russell O’Clare of Derry, four granddaughters, Ashley Lannan, Danielle O’Clare, Maura Bartlett and Jamie Bartlett; a daughter-in-law, Carol O’Clare of Ocala, FL; a sister, Maryanne Banford and husband Jack of Bowdoinham, ME; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Donald O’Clare in 2005.
Calling hours were on Friday, March 16th from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. A funeral ceremony followed the calling hours at 1: 30 PM in the funeral home. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry, NH. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
