Obituary

WORCESTER-Harley K. Morrow, 90, of Worcester, died Tuesday, March 13th in Millbury Healthcare Center. His wife, Dorothy K. (D’Ambra) Morrow died in 1996. He is survived by 2 sons, David Morrow of Uxbridge and Joey D’Ambra of Atlanta, GA; 6 daughters, Dorothy Leveillee and Annmarie Atwood all of Worcester, Kathy Anctil and Joan Morrow both of Southbridge, Donna Bertrand of Leicester and Maria Candia of Florida; a brother, Herbert Morrow of Oxford and Portland, OR; a sister, Nancy Welch of Pawtucket, RI; 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. His daughter, Jean Morrow died in 2005 and 5 brothers and 2 sisters predeceased him.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Herbert and Clara (McKinstry) Morrow. Mr. Morrow was a graduate of South High, received a labor certificate from Holy Cross and a certificate from the Institute of Industrial Relations. He worked for Rexnord for 20 years as a machine repairman until his retirement in 1981. Mr. Morrow was a WWII and Korean Conflict Navy veteran. He was a sergeant at arms for the AFL-CIO. Mr. Morrow was a lifetime member of the VFW Main South Post #341, served on the Labor Council for the past 35 years and was an avid bingo player.

The funeral is Saturday, March 17th with a service at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours are Friday, March 16th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
