Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Jennie (Brancaleone) DeMarco, 86, died Friday, March 9, 2007 at the home of her son in Peabody following a thirteen year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the wife of the late Carmen J. DeMarco who died in 1999.
Born in Gloucester on June 5, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mamie (Aiello) Brancaleone. She attended Gloucester public schools and had resided in Gloucester most of her life before moving to Peabody to reside with her son seven years ago.
Jennie was employed at Gorton’s of Gloucester for twenty years before retiring in 1982. She was a loving lady who will be remembered for her kind, caring and generous nature.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Paul Young of Newbury, two sons, Frank P. DeMarco of Columbus, GA and Paul M. DeMarco, with whom she resided in Peabody, a sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Donald Allen of Wenham, a brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Irene Brancaleone of Florida and among the many nieces, nephews are Colleen and her husband, Henry Sullivan of Beverly, Louis and his wife, Wendy McGrath, Dennis McGrath and Daniel McGrath all of Gloucester and many cousins, including a dear cousin, Jennie Orlando of Gloucester. She was also predeceased by a brother, Thomas Brancaleone.
Her funeral services will be held on Saturday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 9:30 A.M. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 8:30-9:30 A.M.
