BEVERLY: Paul M. Harrison, 56, died Sunday, February 11, 2007 in the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Salem on January 26, 1951, he was the son Helen T. (Redican) Darby of Reading and the late Robert J. Harrison. He was a graduate of Peabody High School class of 1969 and has resided in Beverly for the past twenty-seven years.
Paul was employed as a social worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Department of Transitional Assistance for the past twenty-five years. He had served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the Vittori-Rocci Post #56 of Beverly. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed fishing and barbequing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Ryan Mills of Beverly, a daughter, Melinda and her husband, James Boughter of Lake Worth, FL, stepmother, Eleanor Harrison of Salem, stepfather, Robert Darby of Reading, two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Sherilyn Harrison of Braintree and Eric and Robin Harrison of Peabody, four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sharon and Patrick Driscoll of Leominster, Pamela and Robert Camarda of Beverly, Jennifer Darby of Reading and Susan Cogswell of Danvers, his former spouse, Linda (Lomelis) Higson of Hampton, NH and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday in the St. Richard’s Church, Forest Street, Danvers at 10 A.M. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly from 4 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the “Jimmy Fund”, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115. Interment will be privately held in the Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem.
