BEVERLY: Eva Catherine (Stevens) Sanders, 88, of 1 Monument Square, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007 in the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Colfax, Illinois on September 18, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Belva (Batterton) Stevens.
Mrs. Sanders had lived in Grand Prairie, Texas most of her life. She has resided at the Harborlight House for the past four years. She worked for many years in data processing in the aeronautical field.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Karel and Larry Wheat of Grand Prairie, Texas, a son and daughter-in-law, Curtis Sanders and Sigrid Olson of Hamilton, seven grandchildren, Robert Clancy, Michael Wheat, David Wheat, Chris Sanders, Jessica Sanders, Dusty Sanders and Katie Sanders, seven great-grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, Lyell and Anita Stevens of Fishers, Indiana.
Her funeral services will be held on Monday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly at 10 A.M. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 – 10 A.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Please omit flowers. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Wellspring House, 302 Essex Ave., Gloucester, MA 01930. Interment will be held in the Hamilton Cemetery.
