Carrie Edna Alley Sharp, 89, of 57 Maple Avenue, Uncasville, passed away Monday at Groton Regency.
She was born in Wade, Maine on September 16, 1917 one of twelve children to George O. and Carrie I. (Turner) Alley.
A longtime resident of Washburn, ME, she had been a resident of Uncasville for the past five years.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Dwayn Sharp and his wife Patricia of AZ, Dale Sharp and his wife Lulu of Caribou, ME, Catherine Cyr and her husband David of Uncasville, Claris Shaw and her husband Marvin of Mystic, and Caroline Schroth and her husband James of Ft. Myers, FL, 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Christine & Bob Gentry and an infant daughter, Carrie Sharp as well as her 11 siblings, George W. Alley, Braighton Alley, Georgia Adams, Vinnie Maynard, Inza Forbes, Eva Randall, Amber Corey, Ada Richardson, Doris Faye, Inez Alley, and Flora Monson.
A Memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Burial will be in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Washburn, ME. Please omit flowers.
