Eula Mae Dixon, 83, of Alma, Georgia, died March 11, 2007, at the Satilla Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, March 14 at Wesley Chapel Church on Hwy. 203 in Alma, with Rev. Jeff Williams and Rev. Monroe Gill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be carried to the church at 10 A.M. to lie in state. The family will receive friends at Crosby Funeral Home in Alma between the hours of 6 and 9 P.M., Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Dixon was a native of Bacon County. She was the daughter of the late Elzie P. Deen and Mamie Martin Deen. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Dixon, brothers, Buddy & Denny Deen and sister, Ethel Miles. Mrs. Dixon was employed by Oxford Factory as a supervisor until she retired at age 65 and was a member of Wesley Chapel Church on Hwy. 203.
Mrs. Dixon is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry & Latrelle Dixon of Alma; daughters & son-in-law, Marie & Jacky Wildes of Alma and Laverne Wheeler of Fitzgerald; brothers, Darrell Deen of Thompson and Lavell Deen of the Bickley Community; sisters, Retha Vickers and Oleatha Joins, both of Alma; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
