Rosalind (Messer) Hoffman of Revere died on March 11, 2007 at the age of 95.
Rosalind was born in Boston and lived the majority of her life in Revere. Rosalind was a dedicated employee of the Internal Revenue Service and spent many years as a tax auditor. She was a very independent woman who obtained a hairdresser’s license to pursue her hobby of hairdressing. She also enjoyed listening to political and education tapes, classical music, and sewing.
Rosalind was the beloved wife of the late Samuel Hoffman. She was the mother of Jean Richardson and her husband Carter. Sister of Lillian Kates and Patricia Pellows and her husband Leon. Grandmother of Julie Jarvinen, Peter Jarvinen, and Kenneth Jarvinen and the late Michael A. Jarvinen. She is also the great grandmother of Samuel David Jarvinen and Melissa.
Graveside funeral services were held at the Rabbi Isaac Elchonon Cemetery, Fuller Street, Everett, on Tuesday, March 13th at 1:00 PM. Rabbi Steven Rubenstein will officiate.
