SALEM - Myron, Paskowski, 88, of Salem, husband of the late Alice (Staniszewski) Paskowski, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 11, 2007 in the Union Hospital, Lynn.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Bik) Paskowsky. A lifelong resident of Salem, he was an active parishioner of the St. James Church for over 45 years.
An Army veteran of WWII, he served with the 4th Armored Division in the European Theater, including in the Battle of the Bulge. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and held the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service, he was a member of the 4th Armored Division Association, Inc.
Mr. Paskowski was employed for over 40 years at Stahl Finishing Company in Peabody, where he retired as a shop foreman in the late 1980's.
He is survived by one son & daughter-in-law, David & Nancy Paskowski of Danvers, two daughters & sons-in-law, Betty & William Richard of Salisbury, Joyce and Ronald LaPointe of Rowley, 7 grandchildren, Eric D. Paskowski of Peabody, Daniel J. Paskowski and Mark R. Paskowski, both of Danvers, Kimberly and her husband Brian Rybicki of Merrimac, Jennifer and her husband Frederick Guimaraes of Amesbury, Jeffrey LaPointe and Kristina LaPointe, both of Rowley, 1 great grandchild, Samuel Guimaraes of Amesbury and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Stephen Paskowsky.
A funeral Mass will be held celebrated Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 10 am at St. James Church, Salem. A visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 8 am to 9:30 am at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
