John P. Storella, of Wilmington, Stoneham and Medford, Saturday at his daughter’s Wilmington home in the company of a loving family. He was 96.
Born in East Boston, and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Antonio and the late Giovanina (Miano) Storella. John worked in the manufacturing business, for many years and was also an interior painter. While married with two children he was drafted into service during World War II. With the Army, he served in combat in the Battle of the Bulge.
The husband of the late Angela (Valente), he was the father of John and his wife Wendy of Townsend, Joanne Paolucci and her husband Robert of Wilmington. He leaves 9 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday at 9 AM in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
