Eleanor M. Rayl, 55, of Fitzgerald, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 4 P.M., Monday, March 12, at St. William’s Catholic Church, with Father Dan O’Connell officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 Sunday evening at Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Rayl was born September 2, 1951, in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada, to the late Bedford and Helen Flood Moran. She has lived in the community of Fitzgerald for the past 35 years and was a former resident of Thomasville. She was a School Teacher having taught Reading and Social Studies in 5th grade, High School and Middle School. She had a Bachelors Degree from Georgia Southwestern College, a Masters Degree and an Education Specialist Degree from Valdosta State University. She was a member of St. William’s Catholic Church.
Mrs. Rayl is survived by her husband: Eddie E. Rayl of Fitzgerald; three daughters: Leah L. Rayl of Albany, Jodie J. (Matthew) Snow of Belle Glade, Florida and Katie Rayl of Fitzgerald; two sisters: Alice Spencler and Mary Moran both of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; 2 brothers: Hugh Moran of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada and Tom Moran of Boissevin, Manitoba, Canada.
