Marian A. (Ames) Ristaino 90, of Franklin died Friday March 9, 2007 at Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation Center in Milford, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Henry J. Ristaino, who died in 1998.
Born in East Walpole, July 29, 1916 a daughter of the late Clinton and Gertrude (Cheney) Ames, she lived in Franklin for most of her life.
She was raised and educated in Walpole, and was a graduate of Walpole High School. Mrs. Ristaino retired in 1987 after having worked as a sales clerk for Ristaino & Sons Market, Varjian’s Market, and CVS.
She was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, the American Association of Retired Persons and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also crocheted and did needlepoint.
She is survived by a son Robert A. Ristaino and his wife Susan J. of Harwich Port, 2 grandchildren Julie Robillard and her husband Gary of Cape Cod, Jeffrey R. Ristaino and his wife Laura C. of Boxborough, and 3 great grandchildren Timothy J., Lindsay S. and Christopher R. Ristaino.
She was the sister of the late Louis Cheney, Hazel Pare, and Ruth Hale.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral her funeral Monday March 19, 2007 at 11AM in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.franklinfuneral.com). Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
