Judge Hennessey served on the Mass Superior Court from 1966 until his appointment to the Mass Supreme Judicial Court in 1971. He then served as Chief Justice of the Mass Supreme Judicial Court from 1976 until his retirement in 1989. Capt US Army World War II.
