Ethel M.Flynn, 80, of Westcott Avenue, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 9, 2007, at Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of James L. Flynn, Jr. They had been married for nearly 62 years. Mrs. Flynn had been an executive secretary for AFSCME Council 94 before retiring in 1989.
Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Harry & Ethel (Hurst) Cotrone, she had lived in Providence her whole life.
She was a treasured wife, and an adored mother and nana. Her life revolved around her family and theirs around her.
Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters Ellen M. Corneau of Lincoln, and Judith A. Mattiucci of Cranston, and five beloved grandchildren; Mitchell and Cassandra Corneau, Bobby, Lauryn and Ava Mattiucci. She was the sister of the late Frank Cotrone, Sr.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation Monday 4-7pm.
