Obituary

Francis A. LeVangie, 88, of Naples, FL, formerly of Dennis and Dedham, died March 8, 2007 in Naples, FL. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret V. (Quill) LeVangie for 60 years.

Mr. LeVangie was born in Winthrop and was the son of the late Augustus and Ellen (Landry) LeVangie. A United States Navy Veteran of World War II, he worked as a Letter Carrier for the U.S Postal Service in Needham.

He was the devoted father of Thomas F. LeVangie of Naples, FL, Ellen M. O’Connor of Harwich, Stephen G. LeVangie and his wife Patricia of Walpole and Michael E. LeVangie and his wife Sandra of Hopkinton. He also leaves 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was brother of the late Frank Sullivan of Dorchester.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Tuesday at 8:00 AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Monday from 4-8 PM. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
