Vietnam - Fred D. Barnes, 61, of 24 Clover St. Worcester died October 2 in Vietnam while vacationing.
He leaves his wife Janet (Clark) Barnes of Worcester; one son Matthew Barnes of Worcester; three daughters Melissa Barnes and Elizabeth Barnes both of Worcester and Ana Barn-Tran of California; his mother Lillian LaPierre of Keene, NH; one brother James LaPierre of Keene, NH; a dear friend Blanche Barnes of Brookfield; two grandchildren Sara Moynagh and Hunter Roberts; nieces and nephews. He is precdeceased by a sister Dorothy Beauregard. Mr. Barnes was born in Newport, NH son of Charles LaPierre. He graduated from Springfield Technical College and Central New England College.
Mr. Barnes was presently working as a sales representative for Duddie Ford in Westboro. He previously worked as an engineer at various companies throughout Worcester.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and the Auburn Lodge of Elks.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday November 2 at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Worcester. Burial will be at conveinience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Our Lady of the Angels Restoration Fund 1222 Main St. Worcester, MA 01603.
