David H. Gisborne, 68, of Fairhaven died Thursday March 8, 2007 at Our Lady's Haven after a brief illness. He was the husband of JoAnn (Gallagher) Gisborne; they were married for 27 years.
Born in Leicester, England, the son of the late Ernest and Clarice (Harvey) Gisborne, he lived in Fairhaven since 1982.
Mr. Gisborne served in the H.M.S. Royal Navy for 22 years until his retirement. He later was employed as a plant foreman for William McCaskie Inc. in Westport for 23 years.
He enjoyed gardening, boating, walking, bicycling, going to the beach, and spending time at Wilbur's Point.
Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Sara Evans and her husband Brynley of England and Jane Hawkins of Toronto, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.
