FRANKLIN—Mrs. Pearl M. (Botte) McLaren 88, died Wednesday March 7, 2007 at the Medway Country Manor in Medway, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late John C. McLaren who died in 2000.
Born December 23, 1918 in Boston, a daughter of the late Frank A. and Rachel A. (Barbeiri) Botte, she had lived in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston for many years before moving to Franklin over 20 years ago.
She was educated in Boston schools and was a retired homemaker.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin and her interests included reading, cooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 sons John E. McLaren of Canton and Thomas R. McLaren of Blackstone, a daughter Linda A. Babbitt of Franklin, 2 brothers Frank Botte of Arlington and Anthony Botte of Plymouth, 2 sisters Matilda Mazza of Belmont and Elvira Mariano of Bridgewater. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Michael Botte, Henry Botte, Salvatore Botte, Ernest Botte, and Josephine Grassi.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Monday March 12, 2007 at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St.(www.franklinfuneral.com) with a Funeral Mass at 9AM in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Sq. Franklin.
Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
Calling hours are Sunday March 11, 2007 from 2-5PM at the funeral home.
