Lester J. Fyffe,91, of 238 Paxton St., died Monday, Mar. 5 at
UMASS Memorial Hospital - Belmont St., Worcester.
He was the husband of Rita G. (O'Brien) Fyffe, who died in 1994. He leaves
two daughters Patricia A. Angelis of Arlington, Va. and Leslie J. Tatum of
Leicester, a sister Olive Kozak of Marlborough, five grand children, Terri
Buckley and Tami Goodney of Leicester, Julie Sodee of Arlington, Va.,
Nicholas Angelis of Cincinnati, OH. and Traci Walton of Worcester, seven
great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his
daughter Nancy E. Buffone in 2003 and a brother Charles Fyffe and a sister
Ilura Fyffe.
Mr. Fyffe was a lubrication inspector for the Norton Co. in Worcester for 33
years, retiring in 1976. Along with his late wife, he was instrumental in
the operation and transportation of the former Satellite Drum & Bugle Corps
in Leicester. He was an integral part of the operation of Hot Dog Annie's in
Leicester for many years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father,
grandfather and great grandfather.
Born in Marlborough, he was the son of Robert and Myrtle (Butler) Fyffe. He
graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1934.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 9 at 11:30 a.m. in Pine
Grove Cemetery, Leicester. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers,
