Albert L. Ricci,, Sr., 93, of Meridian Street, owner of the former Bet'er Bake Shop in Providence, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at Roger Williams Hospital. He was the husband of Elia (Renzi) Ricci.
Born in North Providence, the son of the late Nicandro & Belladina (Marsalla) Ricci, he had lived in Providence since 1950. He was Past President of the Rhode Island Baker’s Assoc and the Massachusetts Retail Baker’s Assoc.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons Eugene Ricci of Greenville, David Ricci of North Providence, and a daughter Judith Beer of Warwick, eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, three sisters, Anna VanDuesen of North Providence, Isabelle Tedeschi of West Warwick and Fanny Tedeschi of Johnston. He was the father of the late Albert L. Ricci, Jr.
Funeral Friday at 9:00am from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery. Visitation Friday 8-9am. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to A Wish Come True, 1010 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI 02888.
