Lena “Dot” Bisson, 83, of Pascoag, formerly of Privilege St., Woonsocket, died Saturday at Bayberry Commons in Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Roland Bisson.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Florence (Giroux) Turgeon. She was a resident of Woonsocket for many years.
Mrs. Bisson worked for the Premier Thread Company in Lincoln, and also for several textile firms in Woonsocket, before retiring. She also worked as an AVON representative for many years.
Mrs. Bisson was the past president of the Waterview Association, and was a communicant of St. Aidan’s Church in Cumberland.
She is survived by a son, Terence J. Hannaway, of Florida, and a sister, Theresa Genereux, of Cumberland. She was the sister of the late Maurice Turgeon, Mary Turgeon, and Lucille Johnson. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:00 am in St. Aidan’s Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are omitted.
