Frank Buccio, of Medford, formerly of Boston’s North End died Monday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford. He was 76.
Mr. Buccio was born in San Nicola, Avellino, Italy. He was the son of the late Pasquale and the late Filomena (Carrota) Buccio.
As a young man he came to the United States and settled in the North End of Boston. He later moved to Medford where he has lived for the past 28 years.
Frank worked as a tailor for many years. Before his retirement he was a service engineer at Tufts Dental School.Frank lived an active life and had a great interest in the arts. He enjoyed gardening, Italian Opera, historical reading and travel. He was also someone who kept abreast of current events.
He is survived by his wife Nicolina (Russo), his daughters Phyllis Buccio-Notaro and her husbad Vito, Maria Buccio-Trzcinski and her husband John all of Medford. He leaves two grandchildren, Matthew Alexander and Micaela Alexa.Frank leaves three sisters: Marianna and Nunziata both of San Nicola, Italy and Giuditta of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He also leaves a brother, Pasqualantonio of Foggia, Italy.
Friends may visit Thursday from 5 thru 9 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
His funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford/Somerville, Thursday at 9.AM.
Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
