Obituary

Vincent Scott Dawson, 50, of Derry, NH passed away unexpectedly on March 2, 2007 at his home on Beaver Lake. He was born on September 16, 1956 in Saco, ME, the youngest son of Ernest Charles and Gloria (Madden) Dawson. He attended public schools in Richmond, ME and graduated from Gardiner High School in 1973. His education in telecommunications was ongoing over the length of his career. He owned and managed several of his own businesses in the telecommunication industry both in NY and NH. His most recent employment was with Signet Communication. Scott had been active for many years with the Republican Party and worked for politicians Patrick Buchanan and Congressional candidate Charles Bass.

Protecting the environment and animals were one of Scott’s passions. He leaves three “feline aids kitties” adopted by he and his wife Terri: Bob, Bert and Pokey. Scott led an adventuresome life and was always the explorer. His most recent adventures were in Japan in 2005 and 2006. There, traveling with his friend Jim McCallough, he met Japanese friends Hideshi Tamaru and Masaya with whom they traveled. While in Japan, their friendships grew thanks to one of Scott’s lifetime friends Christopher Enos, USN, CA. Skiing, kayaking, motorcycle riding and his pontoon boat were recreational outlets for Scott when weather allowed.

Scott was pre-deceased by his parents. He leaves behind his wife Terri, his furry children; two sisters Valerie Orr of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Brenda Goss of Lake City, CO, and a brother Randall Dawson of North Berwick, ME. Also left behind are his beloved nephew Renaud Pelletier III and grand nephews Renaud IV and Rouen; nephews Ronald Dawson of Parsons, KS; Mark Bouvier of North Berwick, ME; and niece Jennifer Schofield of Sanford, ME.

There will be no funeral services at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of your community.
