Georgia Artelia Bernstein, 85, of Jacksonville, Florida, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at Baptist Beaches Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Joe Crumley will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Bernstein was born on April 21, 1921 in Ashburn and was the daughter of George David Moorman and Julia Hobby Moorman, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Angel Harry Dragon, Sr. and Sol Bernstein; one daughter, Dr. Patti Bernstein; and two sisters. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. She was also a memer of the Woman's Missionary Union in New York.
Ms. Bernstein is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Joy and Joe Noble of Jacksonville, Florida; three sons and daughters-in-law, Angel Harry and Betty Dragon of Americus, Cary Don and Debbie of Interlochen, Florida, and Abraham and Lois Bloom of Ellicott City, Maryland ; two brothers, Glynn Moorman of Tifton and Michael Moorman of Leesburg; 7 grandchildren and their spouses, Joseph Noble and his wife, Kathy; Deona Pudder, Jason Dragon, Michelle Hopkins and her husband, Tom, Cary Smith and her husband, Justin, Joseph Bloom and Eric Bloom; and three great grandchildren, Megan Noble, Troy Pudder and Hailey Robin Smith.
