WORCESTER-Robert A. Roy, 53, of 19 Quaboag St., died Friday, October 25 in Holly Ridge, Onslow County, NC from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident earlier that day.
He leaves his mother, Anita (Polverari) Roy of North Oxford; a brother, Roger W. Roy of Millbury a niece and a nephew.
He was born in Worcester, the son of the late William L. Roy and lived here all of his life. He graduated Burncoat High School and later attended Worcester Boys Trade School.
Mr. Roy was the sales manager for Sheldon's Harley-Davidson in Auburn, where he has worked for the past 10 years. Previously, he worked for the Blake Equipment Co., Pascoag, RI as well as Bigelow Electric in Worcester.
A longtime motorcycle enthusiast, Mr. Roy was a member of the Worcester Chapter of the Harley Owners Group, HOG. He also was a gun enthusiast.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, October 31 from the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St.(www.brittonfuneralhomes.com) Auburn with a Mass at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St. Auburn. Following cremation, private burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
