WORCESTER___ Rose A. Chestnut, 87, of 179 Washington Street, died, Saturday, March 3 in The Meadows of Leicester.
She leaves a sister, Helen Johnson of Fayetteville, North Carolina and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Joseph and Stephanie (Volungis) Chestnut and lived here all her life.
Ms. Chestnut worked for many years as an assembler for Parker Manufacturing Co., in Northborough and the U.S. Envelope Co. She retired in 1986. Rose was a member of St. Casimir Church, and its former Womens Social Club, and was alao a member of Council 26, Knights of Lithuania.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday March 7, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 12:00 NOON in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday March 7, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Members of Council 26, Knights of Lithuania, will meet at 10:00 a.m. during calling hours to conduct their ritual.
