Dateline: Holland, Ohio

John F. Cleary, 44, of Holland, Ohio died on Sunday March 4, 2007 after a brief illness at the Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Okinawa, Japan on December 24, 1962 he was a beloved son of Richard J. and Carol A. (Ferguson) Cleary, Sr. of Dover, Delaware.
John, being the son of a U.S. Army father grew up and was educated throughout the world with his family. He was a 1982 graduate of the Berlin American High School in Germany. He also had attended the Baltimore Broadcasting School.
Mr. Cleary had been employed for the past several years as a Dispatcher and Freight Handler and in other capacities for the Express One Co. at the Toledo Airport in Toledo, Ohio. He had formerly been employed at the Purdy Corporation in Connecticut and was the proud former owner and operator of the Cleary Transportation Co. Before owning his own trucking Co. he had worked for both the Piedmont Transportation Co. and the Wheaton Transportation Co.
While living in Mansfield, MA, John and his family belonged to St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church. John was an accomplished drummer and had the proud honor of sitting in with the United States Army Band in Berlin, Germany. An avid NASCAR fan and a true New England sports enthusiast, John also enjoyed watching the Florida State Seminoles Football Games. He had lived in Ohio for over 4 years and was formerly of Virginia amongst the other areas of the world that he had traveled to and lived in.
In addition to his beloved parents he is survived by his devoted brothers Richard J. Cleary, Jr. and his wife Joanne of Ellington, Conn. and William B. Cleary of Easton, Penn. Also surviving are his cherished nieces and nephews Marin Cleary, Mike Cleary, Bryan Cleary and Olivia Cleary as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday March 14th at 10:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North main St. Mansfield. Burial will follow in the spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday March 13th from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
