Lydia Virginia (Lenhart) Davis 88 of North Attleboro and formerly of Walpole died February 27 in the Maristhill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waltham. She was the wife of the late Leon B. Davis.
Born in Walpole, January 9, 1919, the daughter of the late Fritz and Elizabeth (Held) Lenhart, Mrs. Davis was raised in Walpole and had lived in Middleboro, Winthrop, Maine and Plainville before moving to North Attleboro several years ago.
Mrs. Davis had been active in the Arts Group of the Epiphany Episcopal Church in Walpole for many years.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was an aspiring writer.
She is survived by her son Dr.Warren Davis of West Newton, her daughter Virginia Blackington of Kingston.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 greatgreatgrandson.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, March 5 in the Ginley Funeral Home in Walpole at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
